Seatbelts are your friends....
They keep you inside the vehicle so you don't go flying out.
They also should help keep your body in at least the correct general area of the car.
They SHOULD be used with car seats. Car seats are not meant to just be tossed in the back seat of the car unrestrained with a baby in them. That is NOT the idea.
It is actually against the law for you to not wear your seatbelt or to have your child(ren) properly restrained.

I would like to say, while I have heard NUMEROUS stories of "well, my cousin's best friend's boyfriend's brother's half-sister said that she would have died if she'd had her seatbelt on in that wreck" as an excuse to not wear a seatbelt.... I have seen MANY people either die or be badly mangled due to not wearing their seatbelt. How many have I seen die due to wearing a seatbelt? One, and she wouldn't have made it out of the car anyway even without a seatbelt due to the mechanism of her injury.

It's been a while since I posted anything. Sorry, I'm a bad bad blogger. I'm trying to get settled in a new location and have been dealing with home ownership issues. I swear, it's like everything decides to break one thing after the other. I'd love to just go a month without having to replace/repair something. So, I'm still doing my job, but quite a bit happier. I got moved to another station within our system so I now have a different supervisor and different crew members to interact with on my shift. It's a nice change of pace. Going from a high-stress station with loud and pissy/bitchy coworkers to a medium stess station with calmer and not as pissy/bitchy coworkers makes for a much nicer work environment. I don't dread going in to work now so yay!
